Pillsbury Crossing #2 by mcsiegle

Pillsbury Crossing #2

Here's another I took out at Pillsbury Crossing for the get-pushed challenge @julieco gave me -- to make a photo in the style of an artist of my choice. I chose landscape photographer, Damian Shields. This one is in color.
@julieco Here is another shot from Pillsbury Crossing. One of the ones I took in color.

@derekvickers Thank you, Derek.

@mcsiegle Good action with the flowing water. I think that the monochrome photo has more atmosphere though.

Lovely shot, the water looks very inviting.

Ok, I looked through your albums and read your about section. What I would like to challenge you to is "street" photography. Get out and shoot some strangers. Since you use an iPod touch for some of your photography you should be able to do it pretty unobtrusively :-)
Show me what people do in your town.

@l2lumom Ack! I knew someone eventually would challenge me to that. OK -- plucking up my courage. I may follow the "ask the stranger for permission" course of action. Even that requires me plucking up my courage. Funny -- I have NO problem engaging strangers in conversation (I'm a very gregarious Chatty Cathy), but feel shy about asking to photograph. But there may be unobtrusive photography -- we'll see. Excellent challenge, Traci.

@julieco @denidouble @olivetreeann @kareenking I see that I have failed to respond to your kind comments. They are always welcome, and any advice or helpful criticism, too.

Love your pov leading the eye to skim across the surface of the water - fabulous shot and thank you for introducing me to the artist's work - amazing portfolios!

@kittikat Thanks, and you're welcome (for introducing you to Damian Shields -- amazing portfolios, yes indeed.) I was not aware of his work before the get-pushed challenge and I went out looking for an artist. I could only dream of producing work of the caliber of his.
