A second shot for @photohoot Wendy Helton's get-pushed challenge to me to portray depression. I suppose this might be more anxiety than depression. A year and a half ago, however, for me they were mixed together.
What this actually is: The plastic sheeting the construction crew taped up between the dining room/living room and the front entryway. Taken from the stairway in the entryway. Rips in the plastic have been repaired with painter's tape. In color it's a blue streak.
What this portrays: the fear and uncertainty of not knowing what lies ahead/on the other side. You suspect that things have been torn up and won't ever be the same as they were. But you can't see yet what exactly is gone, what remains.
Oooh! It sounds a little nightmarish to me. Half of me would be wanting to push through the plastic sheet but the other half would be pulling me back saying "Don't do it!"
