Terror Reflected

Here is another shot from my experiments with a steamer basket and reflections -- primarily comic books, but I took this one with the basket sitting on a poster for a horror movie called "House of the Witchdoctor." It was a free poster we got at Crypticon (horror movie convention) last summer. I'd like some feedback -- what you think of the use of selective color here (turning the poster to B&W) -- Does it enhance the horror? Any opinions/advice on the shot in general are, of course, welcome too.
@sturnus Carol, here's another shot with the steamer basket for the get pushed challenge you gave me.

hmmm... this is interesting... i am not, in general, a huge fan of selective colouring... that said, this ends up being an interesting image... i definitely think that the black and white conveys a sense of horror from the poster that might otherwise get lost in the image... the steamer basket somehow ends up looking like some kind of vicious weapon and i think this is enhanced by the fact that it's in colour... overall an intriguing and creepy image - very cool response to your push... (and i am just so completely intrigued by the horror convention!)

Another great image! I agree with the point so ably made by @northy about the steamer basket looking like a vicious weapon. Love the selective colour. Well done.

I love the gold of the steamer against the b&w image. Really effective xx

@Mary Siegle, I love everything you do!

@northy @sturnus Thanks for comments/critique. I hadn't thought of the steamer basket as a weapon, but it does have a macabre dangerous look to it, doesn't it.

@psychographer Thanks, Lisa. The steamer basket is silver colored, but it does look more gold in this shot. Maybe due to the reflection -- or white balance?

@clarispent Oh, gee, Clarissa. You've made me blush. I'm sure you could look through my album and find any number of photos you don't love LOL. I can, anyway. But, thank you so much. You've given me a wonderful ego boost. Reading through your description of yourself on your project, I stand in awe of your ability to handle the stress of moving and deployments etc. I'm following you back now, and look forward to your photos to come.
