David McPherson @nzsportpix gave me the get-pushed-challenge to: "shoot an everyday object ... from an ant's point of view." Since the word of the day for Monday was "chocolate cake," I decided to make a start by having a picnic (NOT!) I did buy the large cupcake and take it to the park where I photographed it on a couple different picnic tables from as close to an ant's perspective as I could reasonably get. I did have a couple closer to what felt like the ant's eye view, but they weren't as all-over satisfying. I chose this one -- one of the ones I had taken in the SE corner of the park, because my sister, Barb, had liked the way the Johnny Kaw statue seen here in the background had "photo-bombed" (her words) a couple of my shots of the band day parade that I took and posted in September: http://365project.org/mcsiegle/365/2013-09-15 http://365project.org/mcsiegle/365/2013-09-16
To be honest, chocolate cake isn't an everyday object in my house but they do offer them every day in Dillons. :-)
It was too cold to see if my camera had the capability of showing the statue as large and relatively close as it actually was to the table. In this picture it looks quite far away. I'm not sure if I have any settings I can adjust for that.
I've decided to get triple duty out of this photo and have made a six word story for it, which appears as the title.
