I walked downtown yesterday. On the way back I took some photos up into a sycamore tree (my favorite kind of tree). Since they have such light colored limbs, I wanted to see if I could get a high key image against the overcast sky. More freezing fingers while I tried various combinations of settings. Didn't really get what I'd consider a high key image -- just overexposed. I ended up with various shades of normal to overexposed. Played around with one of the lighter ones on ribbet.com and made various versions. I love experimenting and finding out what those effects will or won't do. I liked the inverted one so have used it in a collage with the original.
@luvmynynix@swilde@overalvandaan Thank you for looking and taking the time to comment. Sue, I especially appreciate your telling me that you like it, despite not usually liking collages. I can always use a little boost for my ego. :-)
what an interesting collage, the tree looks so interesting, I'm afraid my English is too poor to find correct words to describe my feeligs from lokking at it
@whatsfordessert@umigee Thank you so much for your comments. Sycamores are really my all-time favorite species of trees. We have a tree in the park that is really wonderful -- bigger and better than this one -- and also two fantastic ones on the university campus. I took some photos of those a while back and will have to take some more pictures and post them so you can see how beautiful they are. At least they are beautiful to me.
