May 5th marked the 2nd anniversary of the beginning of my 365 project. When it came around, I was so busy with a number of things that I didn't have time to do anything special to mark it. I left this spot blank on the calendar, intending to post something later. More than two months later (today is July 18th), I'm finally getting around to creating and posting what I imagined doing. Some time ago I went through both albums in my project and chose just one picture from each month. I then let this bunch of favorites sit and marinate until I had time to try putting them together into a power point slide show and convert it to a movie -- something I'd not done before. Last night I started this project about the time I should have been going to bed. I succeeded in creating the thing, converting, and uploading to YouTube. But I tried the Add a Video feature on the 365 upload page numerous times, and each time I pressed 'Import' it told me either that it "could not fetch URL" or that is was an invalid URL, depending on where I got the URL -- from the Video Manager screen where it lists the URL or by copying from the address bar on the page where you can watch it.
I gave up. It wasn't worth it. This morning I created this collage with the photos -- all squared off so you don't get the full view of many of them. The video isn't very special. There's no music or sound of any kind on it. But if you have a couple of minutes, here's a link to the YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDFBcH76v7o
Thank you to all the friends I've made so far who've taken the time to view and comment and offer support -- and best of all, share their fantastic photos with me!
Watched the film - prefer the collage. Don't you just love how much you improved as a photographer in year 2? Well done and thanks for all the support you give to my project - your visits are always appreciated.
Mary, congrats and I feel your pain with the upload! What I did find out is you do not use the copy urn feature with YouTube to upload into 365. You copy the actual path from the browser. This will pull your movie into your project. I went through same frustration as you!
@susanalena Thanks for the advice -- though I thought I had tried that also and it still wouldn't go. Maybe in the future. I have a real video I took of the water crashing out of the tubes below the dam in May and wanted to post it but only posted the still photo because I couldn't upload to YouTube at that time. Now I've upgraded the operating system so I might try that.
