"When she breaks the tender peel, to taste the apple in my hand, her breath will still, her blood congeal, then I'll be fairest in the land!" (from Disney's Snow White) The get pushed challenge given to me by Kirstin @jothan was to choose a fairy tale or a story I like and interpret it through photography. All week I couldn't think of a story to interpret. Finally yesterday, with the end of the week deadline staring me in the face, I decided to do this. Today I set it up, took the photo, and applied processing. It's not what I envisioned-- I wanted to show the whole larger mirror, but that was proving to be too hard to get the right background in the reflection etc etc. It's just as well, because I settled for a closer shot that shows more detail.
Oh! Snow white! I did a (kind of) snow white picture on Friday this week. It is a special fairy tale for me, because a few years ago I worked as a stage director and we did an open-air production of snow white during one summer.
I like the mood of your picture, the dark tones and the red is a perfect representation for the evil queen. I also like that you can see the reflection of the apple in both mirrors.
Thanks for passing by and for the fav also. I notice we're following a similar path along 365, although we live in totally different continents with just as many different subjects. I like seeing that.
