3 + 6 + 5

My get pushed challenge, given to my by Stephanie @stephanies , was to take a picture that features a long exposure. Frank helped me try out some light painting. After numerous attempts to get the three numbers in the same exposure, we settled on doing one number at a time, and putting them into a collage. I will confess to cloning out a small messy bit at the top of the five. Otherwise, these are the best we got. Frank did the six in one take. We tried the five lots of times and they got worse.
Nice try!!! I couldn't produce recognizable numbers if I tried!!!

@stephanies For the challenge you gave me. None of the results are stellar examples of photography, but I had fun and learned some things along the way. Thanks!

@froggie0628 Frank did a pretty good job, I think, all things considered.

I think you did amazing to get all 3 numbers written in 8 secs... and to get them spaced out like that and pretty even shaped too, really good job Mary, @mcsiegle

@stephanies Oh, Stephanie...I wish! We tried and tried to do all three together and got such strange half intelligible results that we settled for doing one letter at a time. Then I took the three separate photos to ribbet.com and put them together in a grid collage. Frank did the biggest part of the work while I made sure it was lined up in the frame before he started and took the pictures... and also gave him suggestions on how to improve the results. Thanks for the challenge. The one other time I was given that specific challenge (light writing), I did it all myself and only got circles or lines (which I also combined into a collage Ha ha). But then with that camera I don't think I had any capability of exposures longer than 1 second.

Well, you both did a great job together then and produced a great result. Thank you for being honest about it, I appreciate that. I tried light painting a few weeks ago and it did my head i ,lol, and I had 30 secs on my camera to play around with....

Here is a challenge: a photo that depicts solitude, any interpretation.

@francoise Ya know, I'm spending a big chunk of Thursday driving alone from Kansas to Wisconsin. Solitude, though, doesn't feel like the right word for that. Bored is more like it. Maybe I'll take a dinosaur along for companionship and protection. Any of them except the Triceratops Twins! NEVER again. Or at least not both at the same time. T + T = Trouble.

Sorry Francoise, I got off on a tangent. Thanks for the challenge. I'm sure I can think of some ways to picture that.

very nicely done.

Fun shot

@francoise I have taken a bunch of photos here in Wisconsin, some appropriate for the challenge you gave me, but am not likely to get posted by tonight. I'll tag you when I get home and post.

@mcsiegle I can relate. I just posted last week's AND the week before's!!! this craziness (in my life) will end soon, however, as the semester is ending...

That's great. I'm lucky to get circles! LOL!

Bravo to you and Frank! Light painting is loads of fun but does take a lot of takes to get it right sometimes! I think it came out very well.

Hey Mary! Thank you for the challenge, I hope to find something interesting :) It's always had to think of something for someone who's been taking pictures for a long time here.. but I challenge you to take a (n abstract) picture of a part of a body, sometimes it can be fun to focus on a small part instead of the full image :)

@maaayke Thanks for the challenge. I'll see what I can come up with.
