button, button

A more serious attempt at scanography. The first test was pretty hastily thrown together the other day. This evening I first tried something else (folding fan and a small lead soldier) that was a bust. My combo printer scanner has a very shallow depth of field. So I went with this.
@jyokota Still confined to a very shallow DOF. But at least this one was more intentionally set up.

LOVE this! The depths really work in showing three dimensionality, and your buttons are so artfully arranged. Did you also pu a frame on the scanner or did you add it afterwards? I have an attic in my house dedicated to sewing, quilting, knitting and is filled with fabric, yarn, and BUTTONS!

@dawnee @francoise @ribbet9 @seattlite @randystreat Thank you all for the comments. I'm really quite pleased with the results and may bring out more antique buttons.

@jyokota Thanks. I put the border on it on ribbet.com. I debated whether to post the one with border or one without. Decided to go with this since it almost looked to me like buttons were continuing under the matte. So I suppose it's not pure scanography. But the photo itself is.
