Treasure Island by mcsiegle

Treasure Island

"I slipped the bolt at once, and we stood and panted for a moment in the dark, alone in the house with the dead captain's body...
...He lay as we had left him, on his back, with his eyes open and one arm stretched out...
...there was a little round of paper, blackened on the one side. I could not doubt that this was the Black Spot..."

Jackie @30pics4jackiesdiamond gave me this get pushed challenge: choose a novel/ book title ( of your choice) and represent it in a photograph. I procrastinated working on the challenge until today -- busy with other things. So this is not the most creative of responses to the challenge. Thanks go to my husband for lying on the sadly-in-need-of-finishing-or-at-least-painting floor of the upstairs hall so that I could get this shot.

I should say that the treasure map overlay was just grabbed from the internet and not something I shot.
great push shot

@30pics4jackiesdiamond Here, at the end of the last day of the week, is my response to the challenge you gave me. Thanks. Frank helped me brainstorm novels and came up with some good ones, but in the end I went with something I thought was doable.

We are partnered in this week's get pushed challenge. Having looked through the last few months of your project, the challenge I have come up with is for you to shoot an image that contains strong geometry. Subject is your own choice. I hope you are happy with the challenge.
