The first is paper

A last offering for the get pushed challenge Sarah @sarahlth gave me to do something with the theme of Love. This is something my dad gave my mom on their first anniversary — a bit of amateur verse composed for the occasion, and multiple sheets of paper, each one with “I love you” written at the top. I didn’t get a chance to read it back then. It was too dark inside my mother. And, in any case, I hadn’t learned to read yet.

I had hoped to layer a picture of my dad with this or snippets from a few letters he wrote to her before they were married. Just didn’t get around to doing that. They had been married 58 years when he passed away in 2008. Frank and I are at 46. I have letters he wrote to me before we were married. Someday maybe I’ll get them out and do something photographically artistic with his and my dad’s. Until then, you get this from April 24, 1951.
@sarahlth a final posting for the challenge.

I love the love story that goes with the verse. Perfect for the week of Valentine's day.
