In 2020 my parish will celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the current church building’s construction in 1920. To prepare for that we are doing a big renovation of the building. Sunday we began work on the project with any and all parishioners willing to help move things into storage or dumpster, take up carpet, unscrew and move pews out, etc. etc. I helped for a couple of hours then went home to spend the rest of the evening with Frank and our movie night. My brother Pat and his wife and daughter were still there when I left. The toppling and tearing out of the semi-circular wall piece at the back of the sanctuary was quite a spectacle. In this sequence of pretty poor shots Pat is in the green shirt. More photos to come.
