My get pushed partner, Jackie @30pics4jackiesdiamond challenged me to show motion. I have to say I didn’t stray far from my usual stationary subjects. My feeble attempt to capture my son’s cat in motion only got me her tail in my face. Since the battery charger for my camera has decided to quit working, and both batteries are now depleted, at the moment I’m using the iPod camera exclusively and can’t take a long exposure. So rather than search out a different subject in motion, I fell back on the old phonograph. Since the shots show the records in motion and you can’t read the blurred titles, I will give them here.
Clockwise from upper right:
Gypsy Love Song, sung by Lane Rogers on the Emerson Label
Love me Daddy Blues, foxtrot done by the Five Birmingham Babies on the Perfect label
Oh Promise Me, sung by mezzo-soprano Barbara Maurel with Orchestra accompaniment, on the Columbia “Exclusive Artist” label
Mama Loves Papa, blues song sung by Isabelle Patricola, accompanied by Selvin’s Orchestra, on the Vocalion label
My title - a play on the Papa Murphy’s ad for their take and bake pizzas “Love at 450 degrees”
@30pics4jackiesdiamond here you have some motion. I wish I had taken the time to search out something more challenging. The music was great, though. I haven’t played any of my 78 rpm records lately, so I really enjoyed the time I spent with it.
