At the laundromat

Laura @laphotographic gave me the get pushed challenge of a street scene with people in it. Only one of the photos I'm posting with people properly qualifies as a "street scene" and this isn't it. Taken in the laundromat of a person in the interior, it no way qualifies as a street scene. But I was pleased that by sitting in the corner with my iPod raised and carefully aimed toward the door and other room, and waiting patiently (pretending to do something else on the iPod) for someone to come around the corner, I was able to get this guy with a burst of 50 some shots (and then another the same). I figured surely there would be something among the 50 that showed a whole person, not just their legs or their back, and taken from close enough you could get some sense of who they are. He was straightening up the place, so I suppose he's either an owner (one of them) or works for them. I've (very briefly) met a woman who I know is an owner so maybe a partner?

Nice caputre. I love how the man has his laundry in a garbage can. I guess it's stronger than a garbage bag.

You need to quite beating yourself up about your street shots. While they don't strictly follow the usual understanding of a street scene they are still full of interest. I like this one very much

@randystreat Thanks Kathy. I guess it wasn’t clear that he isn’t doing his laundry. He’s straightening up and emptying the trash etc. Either owner or works there.
