Five stumps all in a row

Not a masterpiece, but it's the better of a few I took of these stumps and others like them, standing in niches in back of the garage at Meadowlark. I have no idea why they are there. There are five here. In the next space to the right there were two, and the one further yet to the right had four. I think those are the only photos I'll take today, so I'm posting it in response to my get pushed partner, Wendy's request that I get back to taking pictures every day. The camera really needs to be cleaned. I've posted the original of this to show the problems.

@farmreporter So, today, I settled down and just took a few photos with my camera. As I said above, not a masterpiece, but at least I'm using my camera.

I do like this the better of the two. The more monotone coloration appeals to me more.

This is great - and it does make you wonder why they are there!
Perhaps they will be made into planters or something for the landscape?
So glad to see you using your camera once again - is it a chore or is it good to be posting once again?

I like both photos and for different reasons. I think I prefer this shot the best, because of the monotone tones.

Thanks to you all. I only posted the other to show the problems the dirty lens was creating.

@farmreporter Wendy, it does feel good to be posting more, though I still look out at the gray chilly day and the same, same, same, walk from office to car and wonder if there is anything new to photograph.

@mcsiegle
I VERY much know what you mean! I too feel the same way. I am going to do the Christmas centrepiece macro challenge ASAP since it closes today and that will get me off the hook for today.
I am also trying to do the 52 week challenge, and that's another day, get pushed is another day, and then there is the Word of the Month.
These all manage to give me photo ideas - but it is still tough!

I like the subject, composition and processing of this Mary
