On Sunday Frank and I went to see “Mame” at the Columbian Theatre in Wamego. It’s a wonderfully restored theatre that gets its name from the decorative elements such as these murals that the man who built the theatre bought from the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago after it closed. For this production they arranged the audience around tables instead of the usual rows of seats, for atmosphere.
@wyomingsis I am the world's worst for replying to comments. Apologies. Yes, this is in Wamego, KS. The Columbian is right next to the Oz Museum. I want to go again to the museum. When I went before, I had to leave before I had properly seen everything. I live in Manhattan just a short drive to the west. If you ever drive back through and have time to stop in the near vicinity, let me know!
