From the window of the basement office I'm temporarily occupying in a different building on campus while they work on Eisenhower Hall. It's actually the building I used to work in when I worked in the English Department office. The window looks out under a metal stairway and if there's a way to get under there and clean the outside of the window and screen, it hasn't been done in a long time.
For the One Week Only challenge -- again I'm taking and posting the picture a day later than what is listed on the challenge schedule. Tuesday is B&W. Too bad the latest Eye of the Beholder challenge ended on Friday.
i had just finished reading gill paul's "the secret wife", a historical fiction about the Romanovs and how the family was assassinated -- they were led to the cellar of the Ipatiev house where they were kept by way of an outside entrance. of course they were executed in the middle of the night, but these steps and the way you processed it in monochrome just gave me a picture of what might it had been like. gives me goosebumps. fabulous shot and processing. aces!
@randystreat@swchappell@graemestevens@farmreporter Thank you for the comments. Wendy, luckily the desk faces an interior wall and the window is to my left. I'd hate to stare out of that window all day too! (or even the 1/2 day I work)
A fantastic shot of it though!
