This shot shows just one of the two women who did their act together with sparks flying—wielding grinders on a big metal piece that they had strapped to their waist. They also had sparks shooting up on either side of the platform they performed on. It was so cool to watch. I took a couple of bits of video to show to Frank who was doing something else at that time.
I've seen similar acts on TV and they look pretty scary on screen. I can imagine how heart-stopping and thrilling it must have been in person! The processing works well with the subject- good save!
@summerfield@grammyn@olivetreeann They are not a band, it’s two women with recorded music to perform to — I see a couple of examples of their act are out on YouTube. They had protective glasses over their eyes, but there was plenty of bare skin. I wouldn’t have the guts to do that.
@mcsiegle I don't know about this year but a few years back on America's Got Talent there was a performance duo like this who rode motorcycles with flaming torches inside one of those metal balls. Crazy!
