Mississippi River from the Franklin Avenue bridge by mcsiegle

Mississippi River from the Franklin Avenue bridge

Dawn @Dawn gave me the challenge of: “scene beach mountains rivers.” I knew I wasn’t going to have much time before heading to Minnesota for a regional choir rehearsal—and there were no mountains between my home in Kansas and Minneapolis/St. Paul. We drove up on Thursday and started back Saturday after the rehearsal, stopping for the night a little way into Iowa. Before leaving the Twin Coties we ate at a new-to-us restaurant near where we had lived. Frank was kind enough to stay at the restaurant, reading a book, while I walked across the Franklin Avenue bridge across the Mississippi River , taking some photos of the river. I walked across on the south side, crossed at a crosswalk at the other end and walked back on the north side. The city is very much in evidence to the north. Looking south you might not know there was city there.
@dawn Dawn, here is my response to the challenge you gave me.

Lovely look at the mighty Mississip. Amazing how different the shoreline looks looking north compared to south.

I'm pleased to say we're Get Pushed partners again this week Mary, so my challenge for you is ICM. I found this link today to some of the loveliest pics with minimal processing which you might like to have a look at - have fun! https://youtu.be/oI8Ed8G7Y74

@fbailey Thanks, I’ll give that a try. I’m heading north to SweetWood (the land in Wisconsin I go to at least once a year) on Thursday and will be there through Monday. There ought to be opportunities for experimentation with ICM.
