For my Get Pushed challenge, Sue challenged me to show something connected with the volunteering Dan and I do each week at the local animal shelter, now under the management of Prairie Paws, which also has a shelter in Ottawa, Kansas. "Preferably featuring a cat..." Sue said.
Each Friday we volunteer in the cat room, helping to socialize the cats, assisting potential adopters who stop in, putting together enrichment treats etc. Here is Maverick, a gorgeous 11-month-old male --photographed with the kind permission of Brandon Sokol, shelter director.
Each Friday I get my "cat fix" petting and loving up cats like Maverick.
