Little Boxes (made of ticky tacky)

Actually they were big boxes in the hallway across from my office. More of what I posted with this photo:

But this one reminded me of the classic, stripped down, elemental drawing of a house. Which led me to Malvina Reynolds’ song “Little Boxes” which, of course, is not actually about literal boxes, little or big. So, in addition to the “eye of the beholder” challenge, I’m tagging it for the song title challenge, and trying to squeeze it into a six word story as well. ETSOOI version here:
