@jadamj challenged me to create a diptych showing the before and after of a shot. This is the picture I used for the flash of red photo for this day. I needed the photo to be high key, and tried to make it high key when I took the photo. But it didn’t work; there was not enough definition to the seed area. So I ended up artificially producing the high key for the sake of the calendar view. Admittedly, it’s kind of a dumb subject. OK I was playing with my food. I held it up to the light at first, looking at it come through the slice of pickle. Then I got out the iPad and used it like a light box. Took a bunch of pictures of the sucker before I ate it!
