My get pushed challenge from @365anne was to "look out for "something out of place" and shoot it in any way that you wish."
Given the not-very-inspired results I was getting by just looking for something out of place, I decided to take matters into my own hands. On my June Fun month calendar page, Saturdays are spend-more-time-with-dinosaurs days. So I decided to kill two birds with one stone and invite the dinosaurs to play hide and seek with me. (with the understanding that, once found, they had to stay still while I took their photos.
Here you see the Apatosaurus youngsters hiding among the stack of towels in the bathroom cabinet. The Mosasaurus and Plesiosaurus I was very surprised to find in the refrigerator, and the Stegosaurus was very well camoflaged in among the pine cones. I only found him because the Dimetrodon, who was hiding behind the bowl, peeked out a bit and I saw him first and then the Stegosaurus. Now the shot of the Triceratops Twins, I confess is staged. They were begging to play, and I was disinclined to allow them to, for two reasons. First, they had already been in a recent shot. And most importantly, the incident a couple of years ago at SweetWood still has me reluctant to trust them together out of my sight. So I didn't let them play Hide and Seek with us. But I did relent and set up a shot with them. The Triceratops sister really wanted to be photographed next to the giant fake gem and, to his credit, her brother went along with it.
