The chocolates accompanied me to the “Grow Green Match Day” event downtown. Donations made this day to a list of participating charities receive a 50% match from the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation (up to a maximum match of $7500 per organization). This woman was recording the organizations and amounts I had indicated on the donation sheet I filled out at home. She kindly let me take a picture. One little chocolate headed off to see if there were any donuts left. There weren’t.
At first, I thought that was real money on those tables until I figured out they are tablecloths. I think that lady in the back has decided if that one little chocolate gets just a little further away from the herd, he will not be returning!
It reminds me of public television money raising events on TV. At first I thought the woman at the computer in the foreground had a chocolate in her hand then I realized it was really a computer mouse. A very clever photo.
