We visited one of my college friends and his wife in Las Cruces, NM on our way back home. They took us to White Sands, NM, a beautiful large area (a National Park/Monument) made up of ground up gypsum that looks like white sand. The Park is over 225 square miles, or a region that is over 15 by 15 miles.
