Mini Waterfall by megpicatilly

Mini Waterfall

Bit stuck for inspiration as it has rained nearly all day. Had a quick walk looking for something to photograph - this little waterfall looked very pretty, but didn't have a tripod and it was beginning to get dark, so had to give it my 'best shot'!!
Lovely shot Catherine, worth the walk on a damp and cold day

Neat one Catherine! Also just to say - if you do want a moonshot of all moonshots - get out there on Monday evening.... @bokehdrummer told me that it's going to be a super supermoon - google it and you'll see what I mean!
November 10th, 2016
@cottiac Thank you so much for this information - I have just googled it - must at least try - the next one will not be until 2034!
November 10th, 2016
@megpicatilly Exactly! Now I'm trying to think how I can get a shot of not just the moon but something in the foreground...I'm actually at an expo in London on Sunday eve - so maybe I can shoot some of London with the moon and then try again on Monday eve for my country shots...
November 10th, 2016
@cottiac That would make a really good image with all the London buildings lit up! Unfortunately mine will just be the moon without any other interest, but if I can just get that I will be thrilled! Looking forward to seeing your images.
November 10th, 2016
@megpicatilly Where do you live? I live a bit in the sticks so there isn't much of interest around here - apart from maybe a run down crumbling building or something which would be cool!
November 10th, 2016
@cottiac I live in a rural area of Kent - only fields and fruit trees!
November 10th, 2016
@cottiac I've done this supermoon thing before. You need to start prepping a day or 2 beforehand. Consider where you want to shoot it, and then note where the moon rises in the evenings prior so that when you set up on Monday you know exactly where it will appear. Once it starts coming up it moves quickly.

And if it's a really good photo spot you may have company, so prepare for that, too. Get there early.

@megpicatilly Even a silhoutte of a person would be good on a long stretching lane - or do you have any water to catch a reflection in? Just thinking for myself really!
November 10th, 2016
@bokehdrummer Thanks, that's a very good point - I'm going to put off my 'haunted house' shot till December 14 when the next super moon is up then. Pretty sure there won't be others there as I'm being given back door entrance to this spot but want to get it right. Have already started thinking about what I want to include but my London shots are going to have to be on the fly as I have no idea where I'll be or what the surroundings will be.
November 10th, 2016
@cottiac Thank you - these are really good ideas. I am going to watch where the moon is over the next few days, as suggested by Jeff and see if I can come up with something!
November 10th, 2016
@cottiac These are brilliant! Thank you so much!
November 10th, 2016
@megpicatilly Nw's! Can't wait to see what you produce now! (Even if you don't get something like this - you will have been inspired to try!) And there is another (but not as big) supermoon up on December 14 so you can try again then!
November 10th, 2016
@cottiac I might get the hang of it by 2034.....!!!!
November 10th, 2016
@megpicatilly Ha ha! I'm not planning on hanging on that long!
November 10th, 2016
@cottiac No, it will be too late for me.....!!!!!
November 10th, 2016
Very nice shot
November 10th, 2016
@megpicatilly Catherine - do you have an email address? Wanted to pop you over some shots I took last night....
November 11th, 2016
@cottiac that would be brilliant! Email address is cbksec@hotmail.co.uk
