Early Morning by megpicatilly

Early Morning

I wasn't fortunate enough to see the amazing huge moon a few weeks ago due to cloud, but early this morning the sky was bright enough to photograph this crescent moon and, I assume, the Pole Star. Interestingly, the Pole Star looked much closer to the moon by eye. Not a great photograph, but a start!!
Oh Catherine it's fantastic! I saw the same thing and stopped on the way to work to shoot it but yours has come out much netter than mine!

Well done!

Really good shot. As I moved my screen around I could see just the crescent and then more of the part of the moon in shadow.
