I was told that a good photograph is not one of a closed gate, but one of an open gate. But, there is something about wanting to know what is beyond that tempting gate!
Well I think the closed gate provides a great focal point for this shot Catherine, and there is a clear invitation to go and lean on the gate and look over it!
In my humble opinion, a good photograph is one that speaks to the spirit. I am in agreement with Anne. This is a great shot, the small gate combined with the light from behind gives a great sense of mystery to your composition. Fav!
@joysabin Thank you. I really appreciate your comments and glad you like the little gate as much as I do. I go through it often - sometimes there are sheep and sometimes cattle. Often nothing but trees, but it is a very special spot. Thank you for the fav
Rules can be a real pain, who set them???! why follow them???!!! I LOVE that there's no leading lines but I go right to that gate! ! What us on the other side???
