30 Day Song Challenge for September
Day 4 - a song that makes you sad
This challenge is really getting the best of me. Here it is at quarter to midnight and I'm just now posting a photo. The title for this photo is taken from the song Lean on Me, which a version of can be heard here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GP575CECavc&feature=related (I think @indiannie_jones will especially enjoy this verison) Anyone who has been following me since the beginning will know that I lost two really good friends last year. This song has always meant a lot to the three of us, but it holds special meaning for me now, because well, I've learned that there's not always tomorrow. I honestly can not listen to this song without crying. I heard it twice in one night while I was on vacation in July. The first time I heard it, I ran out of the venue where we were having our camp dance until it was over. About half an hour later I heard it when I was back in my cabin. I locked myself in the restroom until it was over. Needless to say, this challenge was hard for me. So, here I am listening to the song, crying, and yet trying not to cry because I know the camera is on me. Obviously I did editing to the picture, but I can't remember what I did. Sorry.
Tomorrow's challenge is a song that reminds you of someone. Hopefully I'll have something more upbeat for you all.
@janmaki
Hugsies? That's adorable. Although, it makes me think of huggies, which are diapers, and that just makes me laugh. So thanks for making me feel better. :)
@mej2011
Huggies are diapers, got it :-D
I don't see too much grain, but the color "gradients" are not smooth. Don't know if it's the editing though ? I mean, like on the shadowy side of your face you can see how the color tone suddenly changes to another shade. A bit like posterize effect...
@janmaki
color gradients? Yeah, you need to write me that book on editing. I see on the left side of my face, it gets lighter, but that's because of my lamp. Is that what you meant? Otherwise, I don't see anything.
@mej2011 yeah it's not very visible but nothing escapes my eye ;-) . I think you can see it easier if you just raise the exposure of this pic. There's a round-ish spot on your cheek, then a ring around it , another ring around it... I think this effect happens in quite low light using lower quality cameras, such as webcams.
Awww Melissa:( Big hugs from over this way too! Just dropping by the check on your shots and say I MISS YOU! Cool song challenge - might just try this one next month:)
@pwallis
MISS YOU TOO! Hope you're having fun on vacation. How was Miss Pickle's birthday? You should really do this challenge next month, it's well, a challenge. lol.

Is the photo grainy or anything? I took it with my webcam as opposed to my Nikon.

ah, you've got super human eye sight? lol. I'll have to remember not to use my webcam again for this project then.

I am still waiting on a song challenge from you. :)
