Editing consisted of using Picnik to turn the colored image black and white and then I used a fire effect from www.lunapic.com

Cool concept and funky colors. The flame effect is "tiled", which is a bit annoying but with GIMP using either fire brushes or maybe a separate layer of fire you could get a better result.
