Today is another dreary day, so it was a nice change to see this Gold Finch perched in a tree. Editing consisted of Picnik's auto fix, clarify, and cinemascope(cinemascape, cinema something) effect.
@mej2011 The framing is cool and you could've emphasized that with a square crop. But I like the off-center composition with the letterboxing more. Very stylish shot!

Thanks Anya! I love Picnik as well. I have 2 downloaded editing software programs, and I still use Picnik the most. It's so easy to use.

Yes they were free. Gimp & Photoscape. They have many more features than Picnik. I'm just too impatient to learn how to use them all. lol.
Thanks so much!
I'm not getting my notifications again. :(
I wasn't sure if the cinemascope was too much. It's a bit darker than I would have liked.
Thanks Ma!
Thanks! I'm personally quite fond of the movie still edit. I try to use it a lot in my work.
What about the framing? The framing was done specifically with Jani in mind.
GAH! I didn't do the square crop because I thought that wouldn't leave enough negative space for the birdie to be looking out at.
Ha! I should probably take in entire comments before I respond. lol. Thanks!

Can I ask, are the other two editing programs "free"?

Thank you Ronnie!
Oh thank you for sharing! I want to try out other editing sites so thought I'd ask you what you use! :) Thanks again!
You're welcome. Like I said, they're good programs, I just not have the patience. I need to work on that for my second year.
