I Need to Focus

I need to focus on my focus. HA! Okay, that was lame.
Anyways, again, I attempted to take a serious sooc shot so that I could get some critique in an effort to improve my manual skills and my focus. Instead, I went edit crazy.
I was drawn to the shape of my banana stand today, so I decided I would try a 3-dish shot. I have a habit of going to picnik and play with effects, even if I don't plan on using any. I clicked on invert, and there was no going back. I then added a museum matte border. I also did a small crop.
Very cool shot! :)

"I was drawn to the shape of my banana stand today" sounds like a pretty awesome start to a good story to me.... Your focus here is great, and I like the abstract look of this! Only critique - your "horizon" is slightly crooked. But nothing a quick touch-up in Picnik wouldn't fix:)

Yeah maybe if I was drunk. lol.
You have NO idea how many times I tried to fix that stupid horizon. I've straightened it like 3 times in picnik, and it's still off. I'm starting to think that EVERYTHING in my house is crooked.

After I posted this, I thought a levitation shot would have been cool. But, I have no idea how to do that. It's on the list though, right after take a decent SOOC shot. lol.

LOL at "shape of my banana stand" :-D What is that thing anyway ?!? I like how the shadows look like with invert. There's a bit of 3D going on, very cool. What if you put that thing on its side on the table so that the round bottom part is outside the table (=stand is flat on the table). Then put your camera also on the table and point & focus it at that hook thingy, and the rest of the stand curves in the background. This way you have a POV of being at the same level + 3D feel ... just an idea ...

@janmaki
You hang your bananas on it, after you bring them home from the grocery store. Now, that you've asked. I have no idea why though. lol. I'm guessing it is so they don't get bruised.
Hmmmmmm. That sounds interesting. I"ll give it a go. Thanks!
