"I wrote down this song, I just can't remember who to send it to." by mej2011

"I wrote down this song, I just can't remember who to send it to."

Inspired by lyrics from the song "Fire & Rain" made popular by James Taylor. Although I prefer the Jonatha Brooke version which can be heard here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtGADqQ0rEk
Editing consisted of Photoscape's Antique Photo #5
I'm not sure I like this photo. My initial idea was to just photograph a blank envelope, but that seemed too vague. However, this interpretation seems too literal. Oh well.
i like it!

I like the concept you have, but it is a hard one to do with just one picture....

@janmaki
You think so? How would you have done it with multiple pictures?

@mej2011 I'd love to know what's in the envelope, without reading the title. So maybe a pic of inserting the lyrics into envelope, you can seesome lyrics, chords etc. Then a pic of a hand holding a pen on a stamped envelope, maybe there is TO: __________ but no name... and a third pic zoomed more in to that pen, a small ink stain on envelope already because you just can't remember the name ...

...maybe that was a poor idea :-)

No, it's a great idea! I'm just not that patient. lol. I thought about finding the lyrics or guitar chords and showing them going into the envelope as you said, but again I thought that might be too literal. I tend to over think my ideas. Maybe being literal isn't such a bad thing.
Completely random, I thought of you yesterday as I was listening to "Arpeggios from hell."

@mej2011 sometimes literal is the way to go. If the picture is supposed to have a story, I'd like it the story to unfold (at least a bit) even without knowing the title...

You listen to awesome stuff :) if you like to listen to some instrumental guitar mastery, check out Paul Gilbert. Love that guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zU_KoxFQd64
