Not the Safest Place

Came across this Robin's nest atop the basketball hoop today. I would have formed a nest in a safer spot, but that's just me.

Editing consisted of Picnik's 1960's effect.

I guess this hoop has not seen much activity as of late...it took time to build that love nest!

We have some robin's near the cabin that continually attempt to build there nest on top of the woodpile. I feel bad every time we have to dismantle it and I've tried to move it to a tree a couple of times, but they stubbornly come back to the woodpile. Silly things:)
