I agree. Unfortunately, there is a myth that if you have some sort of dripping water/waterfallish effect near the birdbath, birds will be more attracted to it. As a result,there is a water jug with a hole in the bottom dripping water into the bird bath. Had I shot any higher, I would have gotten the bottom of that jug into the photo.
@mej2011 - Oh okay... I have not heard that myth. I would only guess that the reason is that it makes movement and noise, which helps the birdies notice the water. That's an interesting thought. Thanks.
