Cat by mej2011

Cat

My original idea for the day was to re-create http://365project.org/mej2011/365/2011-02-24, only better. Then I remembered that my camera needed charging. By the time it got done charging the sun was gone, and I couldn't get what I wanted. Go figure.
So I decided to photograph this cat statue. Editing consisted of black & white, cross process in Ribbet. Then, I played around with the levels a bit. It's probably way overexposed, but I kind of like it. I seem to be interested in lighting lately, though I'm not sure what I'm capable of with my camera. Maybe I'll check out a book from the library.
I'm looking into a lighting workshop as well. We can trade tips and hints:)

I like those pointy shapes of the cat and the shadows duplicate them nicely, very cool. Are you able to adjust flash power in your camera ?

Good Luck! I don't think I'll find anything local, so I'll be reduced to books.

I was pretty fond of the shapes and shadows myself. :) I have no idea if I can adjust the flash on my camera, but I will look.

According to my manual my camera has: auto flash, auto with red eye reduction, off, fill flash, slow sync, and rear curtain sync.
