James P. Sullivan

I forgot I had this Monsters Inc. figurine. Editing consisted of a small crop and 1960's effect in Ribbet.
cool :) You shot this with flash, right ? I have some experiments for you : first tape some white paper over the flash and do this shot again. The paper will diffuse the light a bit and the shadows and highlights will be less harsh. Note that if you use paper of some color, it will cast that tone on the whole picture, a cool effect too in certain shots. Another thing you might want to try is to deflect the flash to ceiling or a wall using some thicker white thing which doesn't allow too much of the flash light to go through it. If the flash light is deflected, the shadows are very smooth and you have also some control over the shadow direction.

I love what the post processing has done to the colour.

No flash. I just placed the object in an area that was, what I thought to be, well lit from the sun. Thanks for the tips, I'll give them a chance when I get a moment.

Love Sully, I did not know his first name was James! What does the P. stand for?
