I'm back from my week away. Interestingly, I expected to take tons of scenery shots and ended up with the majority of my 250 photos being people shots. And about only 80 total shots that I find to be acceptable, many of which were of this couple.
The couple in this picture are good friends of mine who were nice enough to allow me to upload their photo for my 365 project.
Editing consisted of B&W conversion in Ribbet.
I don't do a lot of people photography, so any constructive criticism is welcome!
Yes I like it too. I don't usually take a lot of people pics either but this one looks as though the couple are enjoying the peace of the sun going down
Well done, Melissa! :) The light is lovely, the focusing is great and you've clearly captured a genuine and relaxed moment. What I'm wondering is that could you have shot this in landscape and that way included both wheelchairs in their entirety and perhaps even given some (not much, but some) space to their both sides? But in any case, a nice candid. :)
@joa
I actually tried that, but this was shot on a TINY dock and there were quite a few people around, so this was the only way I could shoot getting just them in the frame.
I think you captured the mood nicely, lovely moment in time... the light is very cool, there was some lighting on the dock I suppose ? I like the tight crop, feels more intimate this way...

Thank you both for your kind words!
comments? critiques? general ramblings?
Thanks for the critique. The light was from the sun that was setting.
