I changed the white balance on my camera to "cloudy", which gave my photo these lovely autumn-ish tones. While I like the tones, they're nothing like the actual scene that I photographed so I think I'm going to have to play around a bit more.
Shot in manual mode. I think the focus is okay...Thoughts?
I like this Cardinal colours are lovely focus is a littlebit out around the head area to me but sharper round the body. Did you use mutli focus point or just the one centre point, try to focus on the eye as that is were people will look first. Nice blurred out back ground helps the bird stand out well done.
@mej2011 I think it is a good picture and it is not that much out of focus around the head area. I have taken pictures of birds where I thought I was focusing on the eye and my focus point was no where near.
This was just a center focus point. I attempted to focus on the eye, apparently it didn't work so well. lol

Thanks! I'm glad it's not too out of focus. Still, I would like to figure out how to get good focus with more accuracy.
