Manual mode. 55-200 lens. Editing consisted of a crop in and running the picture through every de-noise feature I could find. Still more grain that I would have liked. I'm sure I'll try this again tomorrow.
They are definitely a challenge! I have hummingbirds in my back yard year-round and I have taken thousands of pictures :) My best results are when the sun is full-on the feeder or flower. The shutter speed can be high without making the ISO so high as to induce grain in these tiny subjects!

Thanks for the suggestions! I haven't had any luck today, apparently female hummingbirds are even faster then the males and all I've seen today are females. lol
