Good Luck, Little Quincey. (see addendum in notes)
A single green leaf between the triple blade of grass and the orange stake. I found the freeze-dried quince under the edge of a melting pile of snow next to the parent bush. There were 5 seeds but only one germinated. I released Little Quincey to the wild earlier this fall and hope that it will not be weed whacked by the lawn guys or frozen to death by winter.
Addendum: Sadly, I have to report that sometime during the night something ate Little Quincey right down to the ground. Gone but not forgotten.
