Cicada Killer Wasp Tunnel

I think. I didn't know we had cicadas, never mind cicada killer wasps. I saw the wasp flying in carrying something. It's a big damn wasp, too. Fortunately, they prefer not to sting anything unless severely provoked.

My neighbor has these all over her yard! Looks like clumps of dirt until you get closer. Weird.
