Morning in the swamp

It was lovely out there this morning. It smelled wonderful, too. I think I'm downwind of someone's lilac bushes. :)

Does your swamp also smell of composting vegetation (as well as the smell of someone's lilacs)? I really do enjoy the smell of compost - as in the forest. Such a lovely clean, earthy smell.

@seacreature Currently my swamp smells of garden phlox of which there is a massive amount. Usually it just smells of green growing things unless I step on a skunk cabbage. It doesn't smell like composting forest floor. Too wet maybe.
