@madeinnl I think something is already repurposing some of it at least. Bits were missing when I saw it this morning. I googled to see what might use snake skin and found that some birds will put it in their nests to ward off predators. No birds nesting at this time of year but I wonder if chipmunks or other burrowing rodents might not do the same thing.
@madeinnl I think people do collect them for different reasons. My dogs are very hesitant around that skin even several days after it was shed. I think it must have an unpleasant smell for them. I'm content to leave it in the grass.
