I made a new category for this Old One. It wasn't in bud at Thanksgiving and these flowers will be mostly gone by Christmas. The Old One is over 50 years old. I've had it since it was a slip of a plantling.
@seacreature@narayani A coworker gave me a cutting she had rooted from her old plant way back in 1969. I froze it badly one winter and all the leaves fell off leaving only the woody main stems. I kept it anyway and about 6 months later there were little swellings all over the woody stems. I've almost killed it a few other times, too. Last summer it had finally gotten really big and lush but the stand it was on tipped over and all the bigger, lusher branches broke. It's a tough old thing.
