The temple was closed, but the late afternoon light on the gate was lovely.
We had a few tense hours today. Our daughter and granddaughters were due to fly out of Perth on their way to Japan via Singapore at 6.30 this morning. Their take off was delayed by 2 hours and they only had 2 hours between flights in Singapore. Luckily the flight to Osaka was also delayed. It will now be after midnight by the time they get to join us in Kyoto. They'll be shattered.
It sounds like a huge family afair, how lovely to have them there too.
