One Down, One To Go _DSC7423

We got from from the airport just after midnight. I've sent the morning, unpacking, washing and shopping. This afternoon it was time to get my first Christmas tree up. This is my main tree and it is decorated in blue, white and silver. I spent this evening trying to get some decent photos of the tree, but nothing worked. Then I tried shots of some individual decorations, again without much success. This was the best of a bad bunch. If anyone has any suggestions for photographing Christmas trees, I'd love to hear them.

The close-up looks fine to me, Merrelyn. Sometimes it is better to photograph a part rather than the whole.
