We are off down south for a few days with our camper trailer. I will have limited internet access while we are away, so I apologise in advance for my lack of commenting over the next few days.
We stopped at Williams for a coffee break and the trees we full of chirping birds. It was quite windy and overcast, so his was the best I could get. It may be a wattle bird, but I'm not sure.
By the time we reached Wagin and set up the camper, it was drizzling and getting too dark for decent photos.
Nice shot, yes it is a wattle bird. David is the bird person in our house. He reckons it is a Western Wattlebird. Apparently the colour of the eyes are different on your side of the country.
Lovely image of this unusual (for me) bird. The only comment I can say is the next time you are taking this sort of picture try and look at the background. In this instance there is too much distracting white. If you had moved around you might have found a more sympathetic background. I know that by then the bird could have flown off, but it is worth being aware for the next time. I hope you don't mind the critique!
