Too Windy For The Birdmen_DSC5643

Fremantle has a Street Arts Festival over the Easter weekend. We went up today especially hoping to see the Birdmen in action. These amazing puppets each weigh 28kgs. Each one is operated by a single puppeteer on stilts.
Unfortunately it was too windy for them to perform this afternoon.

I wish I'd have been able to see this. We were intending going over to Fremantle for Easter, but my nephew who lives there has just bought another house and is in the process of moving and David and I both have lots of medical appointments here. Maybe next year.
