Blue Hour At The Beach DSC_5400

Today we had a very long and thoroughly enjoyable lunch with some old friends.
After they left we headed to to Rockingham Beach for sunset. It was a beautiful evening and as the light changed the colours kept getting better. I didn't have my tripod so I pleased that there was a rubbish bin with a reasonably flat top near the jetty.

Fav. Very often the blue hour is even more beautiful than sunrise or sunset. And this is a wonderful shot. It is the same with me - I rarely carry my tripod with me and when I need to rest the camera I always manage to find something to rest it on.
